Ask and It Will Be Given To You……….

IMG_0004 Padre Pio is one of the few modern day saints. He lived in the 20th century and bore the stigmata of Christ. He had a very strong devotion to Mary, the blessed Mother of Christ. A truly holy man, he spent his life praying for the well being of others. Since his death he has been credited with many miracles for those who pray and ask for his intervention to the Holy Father on their behalf. I have always felt a strong affinity for this saint and I use many of his prayers to pray for Melaney. The one I am especially fond of is a Novena to the Sacred Heart Of Jesus that he would recite daily for all those who asked for his prayers. It includes three scripture versus that remind us of the promises of Christ to answer our prayers and meet all of our needs. I wish to share it with you today in hope you will perhaps join me in using it to pray for Melaney and for all of your personal needs. I find great comfort in its promises and I hope you will also.

O my Jesus, You have said, ‘Truly I say to you, ask and it will be given you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.’ Behold, I knock, I seek and ask for the grace of healing for Melaney, body, mind and spirit.(or your own personal needs)

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed art Thou among women and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You.

O my Jesus, You have said, "’Truly I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, He will give it to you.’ Behold, in Your name, I ask the Father for the grace of healing for Melaney, body, mind and sprit.

Our Father…………Hail Mary…..Glory be to the Father……Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You.

O my Jesus, You have said, ‘Truly I say to you, heaven and earth will pass away but my words will not pass away.’ Encouraged by Your infallible words, I now ask for the grace of healing for Melaney, body, mind and spirit.

Our Father………………Hail Mary……….Glory be to the Father……….Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for Whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us poor sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of You, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate heart of Mary, Your tender mother and ours.

Hail Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life our sweetness, our hope. To Thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To Thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn O gracious advocate, Thine eyes of mercy upon us and after this our exhile show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary, Pray for us, O holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen

Saint Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us. Amen

I realize it is a bit lengthy but trust me, it is time well spent. I will keep all of you out there in Bloggerville in my prayers as well. Life is a journey, if traveled alone, it would be difficult to find our way. Through prayer we can lift each other up and ask God to guide us all safely Home.

God bless you all. Keep believing in miracles............
